Activities:
- Support with agro inputs (paddy seed & organic fertilizer) farmers who lost their means of production during armed conflict in Southern Shan.
- Defining monitoring and evaluation methodology and tools.
- Define communication channels.
- Capacity building (AGRO, Weapon and contamination) and orientations on the ICRC core mandate.
- Selection of beneficiaries based on criteria defined in the project proposal.
- Project implementation of Staple Food Production for 3848 households in 2025.
- Project monitoring and evaluation.
- Inclusion of other ICRC activities if appropriate and with the guidance of the relevant ICRC department (potential protection cases referral, Risk Awareness and Safe Behavior dissemination, Orthopedics and Physical Rehabilitation referrals).
Expected Outcomes:
- Identify the specific needs of IDPs, vulnerable host communities and conflict-affected farmers, enhance community awareness of risks and promote safer behaviors.
- Improved agricultural productivity and sustainability through access to essential inputs, resulting in increased food security and income for beneficiary households.
- Enhanced community knowledge and resilience through capacity-building on agriculture and weapon contamination.
